Events:

Child Protection Training: On Monday evening, May 19 at 7:00 pm there will be a training presentation for all those involved in children’s ministry at our church.  The training is mandatory in keeping with the requirements of our church’s child protection policy.  If you serve in the nursery, Sunday School, Awana, summer children’s church or as a VBS staff person, you must attend this training, or else make it up at another time. Please speak to Patti Sienna if you have any questions or are unable to attend.

Mailboxes: Please check your fellowship hall mailboxes for the May calendar.  Please note that the scheduled Scripture Readers for each Sunday are listed on the calendar this month.  Anyone who does not have a mailbox but would like one should call the office and leave a message for Michelle or send her an e-mail at Gccsecretary1@snet.net.

End of Year Celebration: The Awana club year ends May 21.  We will celebrate the clubbers' accomplishments with an Awards Banquet and Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21 beginning at 5:30 pm.  The entire church family is invited to join us in celebrating all the hard work the children (and adults) have done this year.  Please sign up on the bulletin board to attend.

• General Board on Tuesday, May 20, 7:30 pm.

Summer Schedule: Sunday, June 1 will be the last week of two services until the fall. Beginning on June 8, we will hold one worship service, at 9:30 am.  Children’s Church will be offered during the summer months for younger children (exact ages to be announced soon).

Dishes need a home: There are several dishes on the counter in the kitchen that appear to have been left behind from church events.  Please check to see if any of these belong to you. If they are not claimed we will offer them to any church family who may have a need for them.

Potential SS Teachers: Are you someone who thinks you might be interested in teaching Sunday School next year but aren't quite sure what's involved?  If that's you, you are welcome to sit in on one of our classes to get a feel for what it's like. Speak to Patti Sienna if you're interested.  But hurry...classes end for the year on June 1.
