At the
Glastonbury Community Church, we love kids! We see in the bible that
God loves kids, too. We are committed to valuing and caring for each
child who walks through our doors, and appreciating them for the
unique creations they are.
Nursery-
We offer nursery
care for children from birth through 3 years old during both the
9:00 a.m. Sunday School and the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Our nursery is always
staffed by at least one trained adult woman. We have a separate Crib
Room located inside the main nursery, suitable for napping infants
or nursing moms. Both rooms of our nursery are stocked with plenty
of bright, captivating, child-safe toys and books. A diaper-changing
table and supplies are available for parents' and caregivers' use.
Sunday School -
Our Sunday School
program meets every Sunday, September through May from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a coffee
fellowship and the
worship service.
This Sunday
School is not the Sunday School you may remember! We offer a
dynamic program that engages children with biblical truth. They are
encouraged to use their eyes, ears, bodies and minds to interact
with what they are learning, then find ways to use it and apply it
in their daily lives.
Our classes are small, and our
teachers are gifted, enthusiastic, and tuned in to each child's
individual needs and learning styles.
Safety- At GCC, we are
committed to ensuring the safety of all children in our care. We
believe it is honoring to God to protect and take care of the most
vulnerable members of our church, as well as of our society.
Everyone who wishes to work with children in the church must undergo
a reference and background check. Every classroom door is equipped
with windows, and we take care to see that children are not left
alone with non-related adults.
